Confirming that the European maritime safety framework continues to exist as one of the most comprehensive across the globe, the report also cements the strong performance of the port State control system at Member State level with over 14,000 vessel inspections carried out each year in EU ports.

The report has been prepared by the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA), with support from the European Commission.

The full report can be accessed on the European Commission’s website, here.
