SMM is the world’s leading trade fair for the maritime industry, taking place from 1–4 September 2026 at Hamburg Messe in Hamburg, Germany. Under the theme “SMM — Driving the Maritime Transition”, the 2026 edition will bring together over 2,200 exhibitors and 48,000 visitors from more than 100 countries across four days of exhibitions, conferences, and networking.

New for 2026 is a dedicated conference and exhibition focused on the transformation of port operations toward climate-neutral and resilient models. Special areas include the Energy Efficiency Hub, the AI Centre, Future Fuels Area, Maritime Career Market, and Start-ups@SMM. Organised biennially since 1963, SMM covers the full spectrum of shipbuilding, marine engineering, offshore systems, digital technologies, and maritime security.
